Useful Plants Nursery--Our partner in edible hijinks for the last 5 years, Useful Plants offers a wide range of permaculture inspired fruit, berry, and nut trees and shrubs for the home and community edible landscape. Raised with love, care, and organic methods in Black Mountain, NC, we receive deliveries from Useful Plants once every 4-6 weeks. Niche Gardens--One of the best mail order native perennial nurseries in the country, we are fortunate to have Niche and the expertise of Lauri Lawson within driving distance for beautiful and useful plants that enhance the home and community landscape. Nitrogen fixers, plants for tea and beverages, culinary & medicinal herbs, as well as many multi-function perennials are available for sale here.

The Rock Shop--Mark, Emily, Carlos, and Eugene at the Rock Shop have been steadily building a great community resource on Hillsborough Road in Durham. In addition to carrying stone, they also have certified compost, organic mulch, sand, gravel, straw (pine and wheat), pine bark, and screenings. In the shop they have also started carrying tools, soil amendments, and organic seed varieties.

B & B Topsoil--We have used the high quality, homemade topsoil and mulch from B & B to grow our best gardens. A family business with 3 decades of experience, they recycle and create their own at their site in North Durham. We highly recommend their R-9 blend for those revamping their yard. Fifth Season Gardening Company--The most complete supply of organic soil amendments and garden supplies in the Triangle. We purchase almost all of our organic fertilizers and amendments here. Located in Carrboro.

North Carolina Botanical Gardens---The plant sale at the UNC Botanical Garden is always a surprise and frequently amazing. All the plants are sourced from the gardens there and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. All sales go to support the mission of the UNC Botanical Gardens.

Country Farm and Home Supply---Located in Pittsboro, the family business offers many organic amendments, farming supplies, chicken feed, and is a Seven Springs Farm licensed dealer. They are also are now stocking locally milled, organic chicken feed from Reedy Fork Farm in Elon, NC.
